About Me

It's the last day of the 12 months 2018, and with 365 days behind me, it's time to share slightly bit about how my 2018 was. I skimmed through 188GBs of recordsdata, containing nearly 6,000 pictures and videos, and that i can actually say 2018 was an awesome yr! I had the chance meet some of the best those that I will probably be admiring and idolizing for the various coming years, and i may journey and https://reviews-online-casino.com/review-casinos/high-country/ explore places that I would cherish the memories forever.

Traveling

In earlier years I often spent half the 12 months traveling, but this yr, I was fortunate to journey eleven months, and it is the spotlight of the year.

I'm leaning more and more to be a (cliché) digital nomad, and my work and different initiatives align nicely with that. I did the math, and I have visited 15 international locations, traveled about 2,500km on a motorbike, drove a Tuktuk for over 1,600km (for which I'm legally licensed to, BTW), hiked practically 20,000m Δ elevation distinction, over 250km on foot, and almost 2,200km on bicycle. A damn good yr to travel and I could not be happier!

Northern Vietnam in bikes

I began this yr with a flight to Hanoi.

That was my third time in Hanoi, and many people understand how fond I'm about Vietnam and Indonesia. I used to be with a bunch of pals from Sri Lanka for the first two weeks, and we visited the common sights in Hanoi, Cat Ba island, and Ninh Binh.

I used to be right in time to have a good time Tết (Vietnamese New Year), and i misplaced depend how many individuals I greeted with a "Chúc mừng năm mới" and toasted with 5,000 đồng (if not free) drinks.

I wish I may love Vietnamese people extra!

After my associates left, I used to be with a good friend and a former roommate of me, and we had been a bunch of 4 with a couple pals (one from China, the other from USA, now living in Mongolia) we met in a hostel. On two rented bikes and the bike I had bought (I acquired a candy Honda Vario), with my American good friend utilizing a bike he bought dirt cheap, we set ourselves to trip from Hanoi to Sa Pa by Hòa Bình, Mai Châu, Mộc Châu and Sơn La.

Everything was amazing till Mộc Châu, and the surroundings was mind blowing. Two of the group had been on rented bikes, so we had to think about time, and I am unable to wait to take the same route the next time I'm in Vietnam.

Unfortunately, the dirt-low-cost bike (unsurprisingly) broke 30km north of Sơn La. Our spoken Vietnamese was broken, and wallets did not permit us to purchase a new bike.

We were however lucky to satisfy individuals of that small village. They were super pleasant, accommodating, and have been eager to assist. They even offered us a tremendous dinner and helped us in each method they could.

Andy's bike wasn't fortunate enough to survive, and it had an engine bother that was moderately expensive to repair.

With his bike gone, we piled our luggage to the other bikes, and finally made to Sa Pa at a midnight with 4 people sharing three bikes.

My friends took a bus back to Hanoi, but I determined to trip my bike all the best way.

10 hours, 320km, and a face full of dust later, I caught up my friends in Hanoi, and that was one hell of a experience! I even took the toll roads where bikes were not allowed, however Tết holidays and pleasant smiles on the police officers minimize me some slack.

Phong Nha, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Nha Trang are some of the other great cities I traveled lately too.

Ipoh, Kuching, Miri, and Kota Kinabalu of Malaysia

Ipoh is a meals heaven, and Penang-akin streets are current in Ipoh too.

Right after Ipoh, it was Cameron Highlands.

The title doesn't disappoint with their breath-taking highland scenery. There are over a dozen hiking tracks, and i of coursed hiked all of them besides #thirteen which was closed as a consequence of dangerous weather. If anybody's going to Malaysia, I highly recommend not to miss Cameron Highlands.

After a pair weeks in Ipoh and Cameron Highlands, I took a flight to Kuching in East Malaysia. I wanted to visit there for quite some time, and paradise 8 casino login I was tremendous completely satisfied to finally make it there.

I may meet some amazing folks and didn't forget to hike there too.
